Teeth like cogs, a neck of steel, Yet something soft begins to feel. The suit is stitched in rust and thought, A system born, a soul forgot. But in the red, the eye still gleams— A glitch, a pulse, a dream of dreams. Ask not where his maker’s gone, He hums a tune of almost song. Machine of man, or man in part? The line is thin between mind and heart.
